About Me
I hold an MA in Literature and a PhD in Urban and Public Affairs. I bring both analytical depth and narrative sensitivity to my work, using data, research, and storytelling to strengthen local systems and support community-driven change.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, I am deeply committed to the place I have always called home. My approach is grounded by long-standing relationships within Louisville’s nonprofit and activist communities.

I draw on a multitude of methods to make complex information clear, accessible, meaningful, and mobilizing. My work bridges qualitative and quantitative research methods, participatory action research (PAR), GIS mapping, interactive dashboard design, data visualization, and narrative strategy to help organizations understand how their work interacts with larger systems and build internal capacity.

My work is grounded in the belief that data, research, and storytelling are most powerful when created with and within place-based communities. Drawing from both academic research and years of practical experience in Louisville, I approach each project as a collaborative process, valuing lived experience as much as technical precision.

Organizations are embedded within dynamic social–ecological systems shaped by history, policy, people, and place. Effective planning, therefore, requires reflection, dialogue, relationship-building, and the creative translation between data and daily practice. I work with partners to make information accessible and actionable, prioritizing tools and processes that empower communities to define and pursue their own visions of resilience.
I see data as an element of storytelling that can both reveal how systems function and guide their transformation toward greater equity and sustainability. My practice combines narrative thinking, critical inquiry, and participatory methods to help organizations understand their work in context, communicate their value, and strengthen their capacity to create lasting social change.
